Cold Weather Picture Taking
February we went out and were experimenting with how long we should hold our breathes before taking a picture in very cold weather. We found out that we had some things wrong with the way we had been taking our pictures. We had been saying pictures before taking the pictures in cold weather then waiting 10 seconds and then take a picture, After 10 seconds everyone would breathe again. What was wrong with this way was that we were getting rid of the breath we breathed before hand but while the picture was being taken which was just as important we were putting out more breath which made the ectoplasm. What we found out was that when we say picture everyone holds there breathe until they see the flash. You start taking picture right away. When doing this you don't get any ectoplasm. What this meaning is if who ever taking picture says picture then everyone holds there breathe right away until they see a flash then you shouldn't get any ectoplasm. Most cameras' it takes a few seconds to power up the flash. That few seconds is enough time before hand to get rid of any left over breath there was. If you have a camera that takes picture after picture with no delay then before taking a picture you will need a 5 second delay before taking a picture. We timed the delay on our cameras' and they all are very close to the 5 seconds to power the flash. Best way to prevent catching False Ecto Picture is not to go out when it's cold. Watch Dew Point and Humidity. If Dew Point is higher then temperature this means you will most likely get ecto. Also if it's foggy in some area's but not area you are in. You can still get pictures of fog this means there is moisture in air but it may not be visible in all locations.
