I agree with everyone on this..Ouija is a love hate topic in the paranormal..When you use it..use it wisely..and not for a negative purpose..I have used them in the past.. I used to tell people not to use them..But that is your own choice..Are they bad? In my point of view..they can be used in a bad way..but no they are not bad..Just like a gun..they are not bad, but they can be used for bad things.. Just watch when using it..Don't use it every night for a few months. You will get addicted to it, watch your question's and actions when using it.

I believe you can use a board for different reason's..Not just for communication with the dead..but also communications with your mind..It is a tool but as Bill said..anything is a tool..He is the one that explained to me, a tv can be used for scrying purposes.

The media has also gave this game a bad name..The Exorcist..some of it was based on a true story..the Ouija part..was fiction..it was based on a boy that had symptoms that seemed like possession..but it was never really proved that there was a true exorsism on the boy..They attempted..but it was never proved if there was any demonic possesion.

Then you have the movie WitchBoard..which was totally dumb..There are storys floating around on the net of Ouija being nothing but Satanic and Demonic..It can be used in that way but that doesn't mean every one uses it that way. Talking Boards have been around for ages beyond ages..Its a decision left for the user to accept..Just becareful what you use it for.

That's the thing about stories... you never know where the truth ends and the lies begin. The war on TERROR is a good example of that. I've heard the same story about Ouija boards from a dozen different people. Maybe at some point it was true, or maybe someone chickened out and made something up to look cool. You talk to people and theyll tell you the same thing... someone I know who knows someone had a friend who died after using a Ouija board.

Hey Mel, it's Rat.    You know I love this subject and I promise I will keep it nice like I always have in the past and will try not to offend anyone and if I do, I apologize, it's not my intent to do so. This is my belief and only mine. I do not and will not push my beliefs on anyone else. This is what I believe and how I feel. Now with that being said, from my exprience with using the board and have logged well over 1000 ( one thousand) hours on the board over the years past, if some knows what they are doing and have handled a board and the outcomes of them they know they are not the best tools to use in the paranormal world. They can be very dangerous if used wrong. I have had to seek help from priests for past problems that the board has passed down to me. I have been physically assaulted by spirits that I have contacted on the board before. I have since learned to control the situations when I use the board currently and I have yet to run across one that I could not handle. If you take the proper steps and learn and talk to others that have used the boards in the past and take their words as stepping stones and take them seriously you can then have the information that you will need to make a choice if it is for you or not.

I think Ouija Boards wow they are something else.  The first time I ever used one was with my boyfriends sister and it really was a bunch of bs in away.  I think that it's just people pulling ever so lightly.  The questions I asked were answered totally wrong.  Then maybe I had a closed mind to this sort of thing.  I could feel his sister pulling the way she wanted it to go.  I think with people that use these they need to be careful and know what they are doing as well as have an somewhat open mind to it.  That's just my opinion about this.

The difference between seances (which I don't do either) and Ouija boards is that with the board, you are actually inviting WHATEVER to take CONTROL over your hands to move the planchette.  Nothing to worry about if you are only dealing with an overactive imagination or a friendly human entity.  But there is always the very slight chance you may be interacting with an inhuman - and once you give them permission to take control of any part of you, you are putting yourself (and loved ones) in danger.  Some might see the word "demon" and get uptight because of their own religious hang-ups.  But I think it worth noting that pretty much every culture includes demons, or demon-like entities and I for one believe in erring on the side of caution.   At best I'm worrying over nothing, but at worst, I (as well as respected Demonologists, with years of experience) could be right.  JMO

Personally, I think any contact with the spirit realm (if it exists) can open one up to harmful entities (if they exist).   That is why I personally say prayers of protection before and after investigating.  I have no problem if people do seances for their own experience, but I don't think they have any place in serious investigation and research.   The results are too subjective to have any merit to present as credible evidence.   Again, JMO.
