wierd thing about telling future to someone just because during that time it was future it doesn't mean going to stay it. There are many paths that can change total outlook.

My dad bought me a set when I was 13, I used it on myself, my dad and my cousin. It worked on my cousin and my dad, not me. I ended up losing them and haven't had the time, and more recently, money to purchase them. Any clues on stores around the area that sell more authentic Tarot Card sets? Any place in the St. Cloud area?

When I got the ones I lost I got them from Barnes and Noble. LOL! I don't know how credible they were, plus they book it came with read like an instruction manual on how to build a bed or something, too confusing!!!

Tarot cards no matter where you get them are only as good as the person using them. This is how I feel about it. You don't have to get them from a special store or a gifted person. You have to have it in you to be able to use them the right way. You have to go about it in the right frame of mind and the right attitude or you are waisting your time and the person's time you are reading. Don't treat is as a game in other words first off. Take it with the re speak it deserves. I take it a little further with prayer and sageing but that's me. But it works for me. You have to find out what works for you.

As of right now and since my dad passed I have been rather non-religious, more spiritual. Maybe at such a young age I didn't go into with such respect as I would have for it now as an open-minded, fairly mature adult.

You have to be open minded about it. I am sorry to hear about your dad. I have lost many in my life including my mother and my brother and both sets of grandparents. So I know how that feels and that lose runs deep. And you want so bad to see or hear or have that one last conversation with them. And many turn to the paranoramal seeking answers or hopeing to get those answers. Just beware and careful how you go about it. Many people take advantage of that kind of pain. Like seeking out tarot card readers and pychic hotlines. Which we have a forum I think talking about that or did lol. But a lot of people fall into that trap of getting caught up in readers without checking them out or trusting their instincts and for some reason I just felt like I had to write this here now. Take it for what its worth. I know better but the first thing I wanted to do when my mom died was seek out  someone to do a reading on me. And my common since kicked in. Mainly I think because I heard my moms voice yelling in my heard NOOOOOOO. The one thing she use to tell me is if a pychic came up to you or a reader and told you something out of the blue that was one thing. But you don't ever go to them.
  Now I have like I said before 3 sets of Native Amercian cards. But they are very different then the reg. ones you see. I deal with animal and spirit guides. And I only do them for myself and friends. And truth be told I have not done them very many times. But they have always come out perfect for those I have done them for. And like investigations I have not and will not charge to do it. I can't even tell you the last time I have done it. But if there is a major desion I need to make in my life I may try it just to see how it turns out. But it does not mean I will go by it either. Its more used as a guide. Or can be use to show you where you have been and where you may be headed. But that can always be changed. You still use common since with them lol. All in all I would much rather trust my instincts.

I've owned quite a few decks over the years and I agree with Terri to an extent, but there is another factor to keep in mind. Some decks seem to have minds of their own. When looking for a deck, you need to get a good feel for them. Me... my decks have a bit of a sense of humor, they like to tell stories and poke fun at people. Odd that they do what I like to do as well lol

So questions on tarot cards and I'm sure you have all talked about this but I don't have the time to look it up.  Can any of you like for example get together with me and tell me my future or something with them.  Or is that something you would never do?

Tarot cards are a tricky mistress. It's not that they fortell the future, they just give a possibility. I would not be against giving you a reading... keyword "giving" not selling lol

I never charge for a reading if I do one or advise if given as I have always stated. And you are right..........that giaffe is on something!
