Why Cemeteries Haunted?

I like to hear why you think a cemetery may be haunted..


My theory is:

Older Cemeteries are like cross roads. It's meeting place for spirits. Not all spirits are wanting to mess with living so they go to cemetery specially old one that doesn't get much traffic from the living.

There are some spirits that are obsessed with there body so they will stay with the body just as a spirit would stay with a house, land if they was obsessed with it.

Think if a person that is very vain while living, they are obsessed with there body and looks.why wouldn't they be after death?. This kind of obsession can keep spirit with an body.

First of all I don't believe that all cemeteries are haunted and the ones that are then there is normally a history behind them of some kind or certain people buried there that are not at rest for other reasons. Maybe there was a battle on the grounds and the graves are on top of it. Maybe the graves are on top of what use to be owned by some Indian tribe. Is it a family grave site with house near by? If so maybe the spirits stay close to be with the family. Maybe some of the spirits come back in hopes to see loved ones who may come by to visit them. When I find out that a cemeteries is haunted the first thing I want to find out is what was there before the graves where there. I want to know the history of the area. If that seems normal then I look to see who may be buried there and the age of the graves and if it may be like a lot of war veterans are something like that. If that checks out then I would move in to see if someone was murdered or died horribly if I wanted to find out who may be haunting it.  Yes some cemeteries are haunted .............but I have been to quite a few that were not.
