When bad things happen to good people...

When I was out last night I was telling a friend about joining MidNite Walkers. She told me of a seance she held in Junior High with a bunch of friends. Her older sister is Wiccan and has been for years. So they took one of her witchcraft books to try and call on spirits. I knew right away that, that was a stupid idea. Sure enough they started the seance and within an hour they had to call the police to help them out. So here is some advice to people wanting to do this, unless you have some sort of knowledge, don't go there!!!

With Seances or anytime you try to communicate with spirits you are opening yourself up and this will attract spirits, good and bad. So even things like trying for EVP's aren't that good as you are attracting spirits.

You can end up with a home full of spirit activity when you try to communicate with spirits in any way.

 I only ask to communicate with what is already there, NOT bring in anybody or anything else. So I still find EVPS safer then anything else.

Kmott... first thing you have to remember is that everyone has a friend or a relative of a distant cousin who summoned the great fhugughad and had something bad happen.
Second, people dabble... some people should and some people shouldnt... it's just how things work. Judgement call on the players part... problem is most people don't think before they do it and end up screwing up somewhere by not doing their homework ahead of time.
Third, nobody is good or bad... and sh@t happens no matter how prepared you are.
Forth, the only way you can know if something is good or bad is if you try it yourself. The terms good and bad have been so over generalized that no one bothers to think of the individuals needs and wished. but enough said...
