Evp's (Electronic Voice Phemona) Sorry can't spell.. But as many of us know that radio waves can interfer with evp's. what you may be picking up can be radio waves. Some of our problems may be fixed soon, most police, tv's etc are suppose to go digital signal instead of analog which means cause less interference for us.

But that will be couple years down road, and even then you have worry about amateur ham radio's, CB's, 2 way radio's etc. They will still be in use.. I have had people say well i have friend that uses CB and they don't effect anything they don't put off strong enough signal.. Have you ever been infront of a semi to all sudden hear someone that not suppose to be on radio talk on your car radio?  I have heard this many times, this is interferece from that semi or one that is close that is talking. It also depends on power they are pushing with radio, how off the SWR (Standing wave Ratio) are. The lower SWR the more power it's putting off.. More SWR's the more  your killing your CB's final's and your not transmitting as much.  Also depends on if radio, may been peaked and tuned, if barefoot, band of radio, power mic's etc. more stuff your radio has more interference others are going to have.

I agree with you on that..Many things can cause interference with EVP's..My old guitar amp  I had..would pick up the radio sometimes..I was playing guitar one night and I guess the guitar was the Anttena for it lol..But I heard someone talking through my Amp and it was Jay from KGEL Station thats right outside of Eldon.. I thought it was pretty funny.

Then another problem with EVP's  they can be matrixed very easily..It could just be a pop in the audio and you might hear it as "Hello"..You can breathe wrong recording an EVP and it might sound like "Im going to get you" You have to take all of this into consideration..EVP's might seem like concrete evidence..and some of them might be..but 75% of the time when you get an EVP..its so matrixed that its nothing but a pop in the sound and you believe its a spirit.

Okay so Jake and I are thinking about going out and buying a recorder for EVP's.  Is there any advice on what type to buy or what to look at when buying one!  I dont want to buy something extremley expensive but yet I want it to work weel enough.

really, they all will work, you can go with tape or digital. If doesn't have hook up for computer that isn't a problem either. I can tell you how to work around that.

 I have the tape ( was my first) and the digital. But personaly I like the digital.

Is there a certain store that would be best to buy one from.. Wal-Mart, Radio Shack....Best Buy etc

Mine is a Sony and I love it and I got it at Wal-MArt. And it has lots of folders LOL!
