Well I am back  Grin. And it looks like everyone took off too while I was gone. Anyway..........we had a good time walking  around the French Quarter and Bourbon Street, Royal Street,Canal street, and all the other fun ones. Of course we went to the main voodoo shops and Pat O'Brien's! And the River walk. We went to other bars too hehe. They have one down there called Lafitte's Blacksmith shop bar. It is the oldest bar in the United States. And supposed to be haunted. We were there before dark and didn't get back there after dark so I can't tell you wither it is or it isn't. It is a really strange place. But who knows if it is ghost they see are if it is the drinks that make them see things  Wink. They say people have seen glasses fly across the bar and pictures of ghost have been taken before. All I can say is the atmospherer is really strange and the drinks are pretty strong so who knows. We were not there long enough to be the judge. But the place is really cool. We did not get a chance this time to take any of the  ghost tours or anything. So much of that is mostly history about New Orleans anyway. But I guess worth it if you are not from around here.  I did want to find Lalaurie House Plantation which I never did. It was on one of the tours that we didn't have time to take. I would really love to do an investigation in that place if they would let you do it. You really need to look this place up. This woman was sick!!!! I don't know if all of what they say about her is true but even if half of it is it would have to be one scary place. Anyway.............I have rambled on long enough, here is the link if you want to read about it.  http://www.whatwasthen.com/lalaurie.html And here is the bar........http://www.atneworleans.com/body/blacksmith.htmhttp

Yeah we had a good time. Just not long enough. By the time the guys got out of their meetings it didn't give us a lot of time really. It has been awhile since I have been there and I was there before Katrina had hit the place. So this time it was a lot different. There we not as many people there but it is getting back to normal I guess. To me it was a lot calmer then it use to be and I though a lot safer then what I was expecting. There were people walking by their self with no concerns at all and no one bothering anyone. I was very impressed. I say this because everyone has these bad scenes in their heads about how bad it is down there. And in the 9th ward it is I am sure. But in the French Quarter everything is running very well. They still say not to go to the cemeteries at night without being on a tour from what I read however. And we didn't get a chance to check them out anyway. I do plain on going back whenever we get a chance to . New Orleans is considered to be the most Haunted place in the United States............and now more then ever it is for a good reason.

Yeah I've always wanted to go New Orleans, when i was a senior in high School in Arkansas, our senior class went to New Orleans for class trip. But i wasn't able to go, wanted to but had to stay home. I like Bill Street in Memphis I've had many people tell me it's very similar to New Orleans French Quarters. But it's not safest place to be specially after dark! Had a friend that got shot there in arm by guy that was trying to mug him.

We are hoping to make it to Missouri this summer, we are invited to graduation in May and we was hoping to be able to make that but doesn't look like we will have money. But we are hoping to make it down sometime this summer, we also hoping to go Tennessee and visit Matt and Kellie maybe do couple investigations with them, they are outside of Nashville. We also hoping to then go Kentucky to visit our nephew his wife and kids and Rick's Sister. Then on way home heading to Kansas to visit Rick's other sister and Nephew's and there families. Going to be busy summer if we can do it! Plus we suppose to go California and hit the bad lands, so hard to say when we will be able to do all this. We are hoping to drive to California i want to stop in Colorado and visit some friends then go some locations we like there.. and stop see somethings on the way. Maybe then on way home stop all other places just make it one big trip.. If we do this we maybe able to stop down your way!
